The Journal is a graphic at the bottom of a page that shows what edits have been made to it. It's also a place where you initiate edits.

The first line is important. When you Rename Page or Delete Page, you'll want to expand the "X pages link here" line to see pages that will need their links corrected.
On the last line, hover over the symbols on the left to see what they mean. The above set of symbols means:
* The creation of the page. Important: See Delete Page * Addition of a paragraph * Editing, addition, editing, and edition * Deleting a paragraph.
On the right, the flag icon allows Forking a Page. The + icon creates a new paragraph, type of your choice.
